About COOLSoftware

We found that Visio and other mapping programs had severe limitations that needed to be addressed:

• Collaboration was limited in desktop versions
• No automation of map creation existed
• No true Enterprise capability
• No SaaS delivery (Software as a Service)
• No viewing without the software (web portal)
• No Version Control
• No security or permissioning
• Limited ability to send maps by email
• No process management for the creation of large groups of maps
• No logs and reporting functionality

To address these issues, we developed our own software, COOLMaps 2.0.

COOLMaps 2.0 is built on the Microsoft .Net platform. It is comprised of three modules:

• Rich Client
• The piece that installs on a desktop or laptop
• Has the functionality of map creation: wizards, editing, linking, issue identification, logs, version control, audit control
• Publishes to the Processing Engine
• Processing Engine
• Where data and the algorithms that produce maps, reports, filtering, security, permissioning etc are stored
• Web Portal Viewer
• Browser based viewer reaches into the Engine through the Internet or your Intranet to grab maps and reports for review
• No software necessary except Internet Explorer, Firefox, or other web browsers

COOLMaps 2.0 Software has three different delivery versions:

• Desktop
• Enterprise
• SaaS

• XML used for main data storage
• MDB Index Files for local indexing and search
