Michael Sova, CFE, ACFE   Mike assists Audit, Compliance, Financial, Legal and Risk professionals by providing focused business support services for timely and cost-effective solutions to critical matters.  He conducts forensic reviews, evaluates financial transactions, investigates irregularities and losses, resolves claims and disputes, and assesses compliance and controls. 

Mike has wide experience in forensic reviews and investigations in the financial services industry and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to financial diligence.  He has supported regulatory agencies and corporate managers in the examination of many complex, paper and system based investigations, examinations and documentary reviews.  He is an expert in planning and project managing large scale and high profile reviews conducted under tight timelines.  During his career, he has worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission, KPMG (where he was Manager of Forensic and Litigation Services), Arthur Anderson (as Manager of the Business Fraud and Investigative Services area) and at the FDIC (as Lead Investigator for Resolution Trust Corporation).

He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and has served as both a Director and Officer of ACFE's Philadelphia Area Chapter.  He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).  In 1999, he received the Distinguished Achievement Award for meritorious service in the detection and deterrence of fraud; Philadelphia Area Chapter, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. 

He holds an MBA (Finance/Banking) from Drexel University and BS in Business & Economics (Accounting) from Lehigh University.
