John Moran is a recognized industry expert in Capital Markets Operations.  John’s 25 years in Operations and Financial Control management at HSBC combined with his experience in banking and brokerage make him a valuable part of IMAG’s existing Operations Management practice.  John works with cross-industry financial groups which seek to plan new infrastructures to facilitate new products and to rationalize and consolidate the existing cost structures of maintaining separate banking and brokering platforms.

John brings clients a unique view: he has a full understanding of both the cross-industry operations platform as well as the cross-industry financial control and reporting issues.   

John is the former Managing Director and Head of Operations, Americas for HSBC Bank US, HSBC Securities and Precious Metals.  In his 25 years at HSBC he planned and implemented the successful integration of Marine Midland Bank, Midland Bank plc and Republic Bank Private Banking into HSBC resulting in millions of dollars of cost reduction.  He has an extensive background in the operational and financial accounting aspects regarding loans and traded products including interest rate, fx and credit derivatives and commodities.  He holds a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University and is Registered Series 27.
